Hello, I copied darkbasic from its home spot (my desktop)to a flashdrive so I can code on non-darkbasic computers (We use it in a class at school, I'm working on a final so I try give myself time on any computer) and when I run it, it gives me a "darkbasic pro editor" where the screen is different and the save files (while compatible) save as darkbasic editor projects. Any idea why? or how to download darkbasic to a flashdrive?

DBPro projects typically involve saving a .dbpro file, which contains the general program info specified in the program properties window, and then the .dba file which is your code.

Not sure about the different screens unless you describe more thoroughly or post screenshots of them.

There are two editors. Inside the Dark Basic Professional\Editor\ folder, there is "editor.exe" and "EditorNew.exe". Maybe you're not running the same executable and this is what's causing the different editor styles?

As far as using it on any computer, you will need the proper directx9.0c files on that computer. I'm not sure, but you may just need the proper directx .dll files inside your project's directory. I don't remember.

This is the screen of the editor that shows up, running the DB pro launcher.

But I found I can get the screen I'm used to by launching the "editor" in the editor folder. So am I just used to an outdated DBpro screen or what?

Yup. The image you posted is of the new editor. It is much nicer and friendlier than the older one.
