I have to reinstall from the disk. Been so long since I had to do it. Do I have to install any previous upgrades? I downloaded the latest upgrade on the DL page 7.62. will that have everything I need as far as upgrading?

Also there is a release candidate 77. Is it any good or should I stick with 7.62 for now. I usually don't do the upgrades unless they are officially released and on the download page.

PC crashed and had to reset everything back to factory defaults. Good most all important files were on an external HD!

As a general rule no - the updates include all necessary stuff from previous upgrades. I recently installed DBPro from the original CD and went straight to U77RC7. I expected problems but didn't get any. In fact the original CD version worked as well. I've never bothered with the U76 patches.

Some upgrades have supplementary demos, etc, associated with them so you might not have those. I haven't noticed any gaps yet though.
