Hi all. Here is a video I made to demonstrate the basics of UV mapping and baking Blender materials to a texture.

If your new to Blender this may come in useful.

I spent all of yesterday watching Blender UV mapping tutorials. Yours is quite good. I'm a bit fed up of box tutorials though. I think you could make a better tutorial with a better object. Also, nobody ever tells you how to drag the split windows back to a single window. I had to read the Blender Documents for half an hour to find that out. In the end I decided not to use Blender at all. I have a program called UVLayout by Headus. This program is amazing. It will unwrap anything very easily. A human is no problem.
