Hi everyone
I developed some stuff with DIV game studio, but realy new with DBpro.
I had downloaded trial version and installed it. The problem comes when I try one tutorial example called "making a simple fps game.dbpro", I get error message related with DirectX.
I guess DBpro want to use DirectX 9c version, but I've installed DirectX 11.
There is compatibility problems here?
Should I install Dx 9c and preserve Dx 11 one?
Should I delete Dx 11 before install DX 9c one?
If so, what happens with DX 11 and all the other applications/games tha using it?.
And when I get to fix it, ¿another incompatibility could comes too?, if so, ¿what can I do?

All tips will be appreciate.
Thanks in advance.

I use DBPro on 8.1 Pro x64 with no known issues as of yet, you need the new Synergy Editor however...

I will say no more other than I cover everything DBPro and Windows 8.1 in my app which you can find in my signature.

Welcome to the world of DBPro.

PS.
Installing DirectX 9.0c does not replace DirectX 11

I tried that several years ago. It was my first intro to game programming. I thought it was no longer around. Has it been upgraded for modern Windows versions?

Download dx9.0c from here: http://www.microsoft.com/es-es/download/confirmation.aspx?id=34429
I run installation setup.
Installation start and finally I got this msg:

Quote: "For install dx 9.0c you must use w98, Millenium, w2000 or w server 2000."

This is no my case, since I am onto w 8.1 64bit.

Ignore where's my two post, posted ago 2 days.
I do no want re-formule my questions, cuz I do no want duplicate post.

I do not feel comfortable when people kindly help me and my response to his kindness, does not appear anywhere.
For this reason I give my thanks again to all those trying to help me.
I tried to install DirectX 9.0c, the answer is not able to install because I already have installed a newer version (DX 11).
What I can do?

Do not worry about the posting delay, we still see your post in our emails if we have subscribed to it...

Strange that you are getting any form of error like that...

Your last hope is this:

http://www.akaneaya.com/tgcforumrepository

Click the link for DirectX there on the right...

If that fails to install, then I think you have severe issues with your system, possibly some form of Virus or some form of backwards antivirus program, ensure it is disabled when installing DX...

@ MrValentine
Thanks!!! for the help.

I tried your link and it has been "installed", after that, I tried to run example above, and I've got the same "DX 9.0c uninstalled" error message.

I wonder whether exist any special folder for install DX 9.0c?, perhaps DBPro is looking for DX 9.0c in another different folder, if so, please let me know it.

5 days in trial version, and til I can not start.

Most unusual, are you sure you are using DBPro and not DBC?

Downloaded from:

http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=view_product&id=2000&page=free

I tried disabling AV before run, but I got the same result.

DirectX.log:

Quote: "05/18/14 19:06:04: infinst: Installing C:\...\AppData\Local\Temp\DX6D77.tmp\d3dx9_24_x64.inf [DefaultInstall]
05/18/14 19:06:05: infinst: Target file: 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\d3dx9_24.dll'
Target file is Version 9.5.132.0
Source file is Version 9.5.132.0
05/18/14 19:06:05: infinst: C:\WINDOWS\system32\d3dx9_24.dll have been installed already."

Even I tried to run demo tutorial(final tutorial) on debug mode, but nothing change here.

All the DX files are installed in Sys32 and syswow64.

Virus, spyware free.

In over 15 years of playing with DirectX, I never had such an issue, in fact never...

Anyway, install this if you can...

Were you able to select your installation folder for DirectX? I do not think you should...

Which DirectX file are you using to install it?

Thanks for the patience you put to resolve this issue.
I downloaded the file you linked above.
It has not update the previous version, but installed a new version trial updated.
Upgrade7_6.txt log file say:

Quote: "Upgrade 7.62
============
Compiler
--------

* Recognise new BlitzTerrain module
* Recognise new DarkDynamix module"

When I tried to run PelicanDemo or Guess.dbpro, I got the same dialog than above but with different input:

Quote: "Failed to 'LoadProjectFile'
Failed to 'LoadDBA'
Failed to 'LoadDBA'"

There will be some witch on my computer that does not like DBAPro.
The problem is that to me if I like it.

As I said, something is wrong with your main system, try a fresh install of the OS, some software you might have installed might have done something funny...

Welcome to DBPro!
