I want to find out the real cost of buying online. Things can be a little confusing so I want to find some real costs. Here are some figures I found 'today'
paypal 1 GBP = 1.62 USD / conversion cost 2.5% / cost to merchant 3.9% plus 0.20
visa 1 GBP = 1.67 USD / conversion cost 2.57% / cost to merchant ?
RBS debit card 1 GBP = 1.663 USD / conversion cost 2.75% / cost to merchant ?
I think I have this correct, we have a conversion cost to exchange one currency into another which we pay, then a cost to merchant? I think I have paypals correct, what are the costs to the others? Do they have s a cost? Or do we have one?
Can anyone give me a rough estimate I want to transfer many payments and want to know whats the best way to transfer money.
