Wow boys, i saw the WWDC right now and i'm very happy.
Apple is developing much new features and new language called "Swift".
It's a sort of OBJ C mixed with C but with the old BASIC syntax.
Wow it will support multiple function return!!!

3D engine over the OpenGL called "Metal"
SceneKit + SpriteKit + Metal is fantastic.

Well i think AppGameKit waited too much.
Now AppGameKit for Apple i think is useless.

They added particle, light, 3D, 2D, Scene, Sprites... what AppGameKit have more than the general API?
Now they also have a BASIC language that can use the OBJ C calling and C...
I think Java is at the fruit.

Long life to Steve!

Swift has been around for quite a while.

Apple likes to change things up. It keeps the money rolling into them.

The problem is that it's only for Apple stuff. People these days want multiplatform - they want the same app no matter what platform it is.

As cool as it is to see new systems to develop on, and easier systems, frankly I can't justify the time to learn it just to support iOS... just so Apple can move the goal posts every couple of weeks then give practically no support when the app is launched.

sounds great,
often a manufacturer device sdk is better than third party.
apple is still on my blacklist until they changed her views.

I think that for someone like Gekko, who makes a living from Apple apps, AppGameKit is now useless as the Apple Kit + Swift even offers REALTIME preview as you type code!

For the rest of us, who want to do multi platform with just 1 source, we will have to stick with something else

I agree. Cross-platform means compromises, some of them uncomfortable.

Exactly what I was thinking. AppGameKit is much faster
