AppGameKit Classic Chat / DirectX Error

My computer is a running Windows 7 with DirectX 11 on it. I get the following message when I attempt to open DarkBASIC Professional: DirectX9 installed (589824). Requires DirectX 9.0c (October 2006) or later. So in an attempt to cover my bases, I have downloaded the DirectX it mentioned. So I now have two DirectX versions on my computer and I still get the error. Anyone have a clue what is going on? Attached is an image of the error message. Just for kicks and giggles.
