This works fantastic. You've done an amazing job on this tool! It's comparable, if not better than CrazyBump and the other normal map tools out there.

This looks rather good.

Would I be able to use this to make normal maps that I could use for .obj file in AGk projects?

I'm kinda guessing it should, it would just be a case of creating a shader to do make use of the normal map image. Might be better if I just download it and have a go.

I haven't tried normal mapping in AppGameKit yet, but it should be possible.

You can use the normal maps for anything. It just generates a normal map image and then implementing it is up to you.

BUG REPORT
It crashes if I try to load certain ".png" files.

"Runtime error 301 Sprite number must be greater than zero at line 743"

Very nice GUI!

Thanks for the bug report! Did it crash instantly or after clicking on a slider? Line 743 is GUI code, it's strange.
Try to drop the png file directly on the exe

This is the best free normal map creator I ever see! Thanks.

Can you support .dds? Then it would be perfect for reloaded!

I'm sorry Corno_1, I don't know how to add more support for that. It's all in the Dark Basic dlls. I tried loading dds files, it crashes. You can save dds however, but there won't be mipmaps. I use png for everything and converting to dds is my last step.
reloaded comes with dds files, maybe you can use a very simple convert tool with no ui to get png. I know, not the best workflow.

Thanks for the positive feedback!
