Hi Ragoon, welcome to the forums. The problem is that DBPro doesn't understand the *.tree file format. Ive never used tree party but I would assume it has a feature to export to *.x or *.dbo, either of which can be loaded directly within dbpro using the load object command.

You have to use the tree loading function. This function is found in the tree party source code, and is demonstrated in the tree party examples. If I remember correctly; the function is called tpLoadTree, or something similar. Your tree party source code must be included and initialized by your program, and initialized before using its commands.

I've got an example of how I loaded my own trees here at the codebase ("simple terrain editor"): http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=codebase_view&i=0872e2a7ca8af097c85c1d53d0caebf3

Or download: http://www.4shared.com/zip/tDNlmmNt/terrainEditorV101_1_.html

I actually split my trees into two objects (trunk and tree top) because I wanted better collision detection with the tree trunks. As already suggested above I'm using .x files.

My terrain editor seems to be a little buggy (not working quite like it did a few years ago when I coded it in that the "A/Z" keys to decrease/increase mesh height seem really buggy now - maybe it "broke" after a DB Pro update /shrug). However the tree planting ("P") command still works.
