The command for setting sprites in transparent mode (SetSpriteTransparency) makes a reference to an "alpha masking" setting.

Since I couldn't find any other mention about it, and no clear and precise example with it, can anyone point to any articles, examples etc. that explain this feature? I am interested in how can it be implemented in Tier 1 (an example would be nice).

Thank you for your time.

This used to be supported but since 108 has been deprecated in favour of shaders, which can achieve the same effect with the "discard" keyword. However alpha masking is usually slower than alpha blending.

Any chance of revealing more of these keywords that are supported by AppGameKit, and an example of them in use, Paul?

Thanks

Thank you for your answer.

As an early backer I understand that there is a lot of work involved in the development of AppGameKit 2 and I wont bother you with other questions.

Yet, it would be nice for AppGameKit v2 to be a bit more documented when the project exits the final beta stages and becomes a final-retail product.
