I have a DBP CD. I had to switch Laptops and the one I switched to has no CD Drive. I have my order key and SN in my account but for some reason not the actual download. I had another account years ago.

I can't install from my PC since I have no drive so I installed the free version and used my paid for order number. Did that change the program into the paid version? I see no limitations I have save features and see no ads in the executable. There is an FPSC reloaded ad in the bottom of the editor.

What are the actual limitations of the free version?

I'm not totally sure, but entering your key should have registered the free version as the paid
The free version doesn't have any limits compared to paid-for DBPro, it just supports adverts in the editor. The advert system is pretty buggy though - adverts sometimes don't appear in the free version, and occasionally show up in the paid version

The code never bothered me anyway...

Just download the latest patch and you should be good to go

I hope thy release two editions in future instead of combining them...
