i've searched through the forums but couldn't find what i was looking for, basically i have a model with stairs in it, now in using sparky's i am unable to climb said stairs, now i'm sure there is a way to do so, i'm just as a loss exactly how to go about such, i expected they would be treated like a slope but it turns out i was wrong.

I can see from your smile, you're not here for the sunset

Usually you have two different models - one for the scene, and a hidden one for collision. The collision model is optimised so it has less faces for faster collision detection.

In the case of stairs the collision model is made to be a ramp instead. This eliminates sudden jumps of the player that would happen on every step.
