Hi guys after being amateurishly redirected from ASUS to their online store, which has nothing in it I need, Tom's Hardware not responding to any of my messages, and after my motherboard coming back without a retention bracket on it, what screws do I need for an AM3+ retention bracket and where can I find a iO plate for the M5A97 R2.0? I know you guys are gamers with high-end PCs and I would like to know and I can trust you guys a bit more than some ASUS representative and Tom's Hardware. Also anything I should avoid when building the computer. I placed my motherboard back in the antistatic bag without it touching the outside is that a problem? I had no socks on while putting it back in.

Well the IO plates are going to be pretty specific to the motherboard's own rear layout. Most boards may look about the same, but you pretty much need to get it from Asus.


As for the screws, a quick search found an AM3 bracket plus screws for less than the one you linked to without screws.
