Nyctophobia is a dark tale in which the protagonist must face his fear of the dark.

You are Daniel, a patient of Stärke Corporation Laboratories will submit to a experimental therapy for your phobia.

This game is an old project that I never found time to finish it until now.

I thought this was an FPSC Forum

This looks amazing! I wish I had motivations to start up old projects again.

Can't wait to hear more about this

It looks great! Very professionally done.

I must also congratulate you on your persistance and courage on getting this project out. (altough it went from e.l.e. to psycho to nyctophobia.)

Keep it up!

Not at all! Most FPSC users never reach this kind of quality and having a game like THIS in FPSC is already winning.

Every time it failed, it failed better... and if it will ever be completed it will certainly be a great testament to what can be done in something as "limited" as FPSC if the user only wants it to be done.

What was said by Wolf is very true. The thing is that nobody properly utilises what they have got and only complain about the limitations. But compared to the games that have been released or are being made (the usual ones), this star stands out like the pole star, showing the direction. It would be very nice if you would complete the game. And in the first picture of the second image post (10th post), the wire seems to be penetrating the electrical box (hehe.... perfectionism). But whatever it is, it looks damn good. Also, if you are not using any mods or are using the old ones, then you can download the Nomad Mod by Nomad Soul. It has super high graphical quality compared to some of the mods.

Hi dudes

Wolf thanks for the words of encouragement. This time I think I will be able to finish the game.

Mriganka thanks for the words of encouragement and warning ( the wire seems to be penetrating the electrical box). You were right, i just corrected it. I´m not using any mod. I'll look at Nomad Mod, thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks! And, way to go with the graphics man! And how did you use the water effect on the staircase (I mean the water flowing down). Are some shaders required or is it a decal?

Nice. This is one of the most shader heavy games that I have ever seen. Also the lightning is very good and the environment really seems to be dark and alive alive. Hope you do not end up making it a zombie game. Anyways, when are you going to post videos of the game?

Thans dude, I estimate that the first video will come out in October.I hope you like it. It will not be bad for an indie game.

Hi, Dudes! Thank you for your kind words.

This week I'll post a new set of Nyctophobia images. I am considering to move Nyctophobial to Reloaded. I think this way I will be easier to publish it on steam, but I have a lot of doubts. Now I'll spend some more time to My Little APOCALYPSE Town.

see you.

I would just go ahead and finish the game in FPSC Classic or drop it completely. Reloaded is in no shape to release a game of the quality presented here unless you want to go form the ground up again.

I would just bite the bullet and carry on, but that is my honest opinion.

It must be discouraging to restart the game ( not so much but almost ) from scratch.

Yup, you should do it in Classic, doing it in Reloaded means that you have to make it from scratch and I cannot imagine that being done in Reloaded as easily as with Classic. Also the lightmapping has not yet been integrated into reloaded (unless I am totally not up to date).

Hi Mriganka, I think you're right. Classic is the best choice for me at this time.

Love the new screen shots. Is that screen overlay actually in game? I'm not overly keen on the pattern across the screen, unless that is a feature in the game; as something that appears to show a sanity level or something?

Good work as always! Love the models as well.

Cheers

Jay.

Hi unfamillia. The most of the images belong to a dreamlike stage, but when the player leaves the trance, bring something with him
When the player spends some time in the dark loses some control of himself (sanity level)

I spent some time on your website, the touch of fear I liked your asseest. Shows that there is lot of work behind them. You are doing a great job!

dimoxinil,

I thought the images would be something to do with an effect for the players sanity. It makes sense now.

With regards to Touch of Fear. Work has come to a stop for now. Myself and another forum member are working on it, but, we are waiting for Reloaded to become a little more 'refined' before we actually start development properly.

I haven't updated the site in a long time and to be honest, I forgot that my signature still had that link! haha. Thanks for checking it out though.

How are you finding working with Classic and Reloaded? I am following both of your games with a keen interest!

Cheers

Jay.

It's a shame to drop a project over and over again never to pick it back up or release even a bit of something. I've done it several times, sure... but I usually try and reform the project into the next thing I do. It seems like the whole thing was dropped entirely if that is the case.

I really wish this was seen through to the end.
