I did not see a reference to VR or virtual reality on the forum so I thought I would ask.

Does AppGameKit support VR naturally? OR is there an easy way (cameras) to accomplish this?

VR as in two views, side-by-side, on the screen at the same time, each from a slightly different perspective, as in, a view from each eye?

Thanks!

You certainly pull it off. There was another post about it here. The only problem is that current version of AGKv2 has a bug rendering 3D environments to images. (at least with imported objects, perhaps primitives work). That reminds me I was supposed to get Paul a piece of code to demonstrate the problem better get on that. I believe I'm going to be building my own Google Cardboard headset sometime in the future so I'll get back to you with more information about it later. Perhaps the people in that thread could provide some insight too

swissolo,

Thanks for the response. BTW, there is a plastic version of the cardboard case for only $39.95 US.

http://www.ceocase.com/collections/google-cardboard/products/3d-cardboard

I have one on order. I have the cardboard, cardboard ;0)

But I'm looking forward to getting the plastic, cardboard ;0)

Oh wow that's quite a nice looking casing. It mildly defeats the point of the "cardboard" design but who really cares I'm sure the measurements are far more precise than what I could put together slicing cardboard

There are cardboard "kits" out there for sale. The one above is the only "substantial" one I've seen. All the others I've seen are, uh, cardboard. I ordered a cardboard one, before I knew there was anything better available. I've honestly been amazed at how well it works.

The "cardboard" cardboard kits can be purchased from about $15 US to $25 US. Since the Ceocase plastic one is only $39.95 US, it seems like a no brainer, if you're wanting to play with VR and your Android phone.
