I've got a problem with displaying images in DPPro. The actual size of the images do not change, but some pixels do take the size of 4 pixels, which make the detail of the images drop down very fast!

LOAD IMAGE "images/Topbar.jpg", 1, 1
PASTE IMAGE 1, 0, 0

This is what I do, but it won't help. Also change .jpg into .bmp or whatever won't help either.

I hope someone can help me!

Are you using the windowed full screen mode? If so, everything will be scaled up to your desktop res. Try selecting "fullscreen exclusive" on the right side bar

Sounds like you might have an older card - try FSEX mode and see what it looks like then.

I'm working in the (standard) fullscreen-mode of DBPro, but for the ensurrance that 640x480 will be used I also use:

SET DISPLAY MODE 640, 480, 32

But what is "fullscreen exclusive" and "FSEX"?

I'm not using a window... I only use fullscreen. But how do I set the FSEX-mode?

It's just the option that says "Fullscreen exclusive" on the right menu bar (under settings). What sort of 3d card do you have?

maybe the .jpg file that you are using isn't so great? try and use .bmp's or .png's or .tga's instead.

I know this may be lame - but you MAY want to toss is a check for the 640x480x32 because some (typical user) desktops have 24 bit highcolor only. 640x480x16 or 640x480x32

I wrote a routine - as I'm sure many others have - that gets all the display modes and then you know what you're selecting and what the card has obviously - but that way you can pick the highest res available - or the RES you WANT - looking for the depth you want - if you cant get the depth - you still got the Resolution you wanted anyway
