Just reinstalled DBPro to have another look at it. But the "Extends" package would not register.

Then I read on the Extends page that it's not compatible with Windows Vista or 7. It seems to have some really nice features. Bummer!

So, having windows 7, I'm wondering when / if this will be made compatible with it?

I can only guess that as long as any of the DBP stuff has been on the market, if it isn't compatible by now it's never going to be.

Aside from a couple of elements eXtends works perfectly fine for me on both 7 and 8/8.1

It might work for you, but I too have a few issues with Extends on my Win 7 systems. Pretty sad if I have to run a project in Win98 compatibility just to see an example demo run, such as the "real-time skies". Was looking forward to actually incorporating that (RTS) into a big development, but alas it was just not going to happen...

So I can identify with the OP on this one, since we bought ours with DGS Bonanza back in the XP days. I just can't seem to get it working properly at all in my Win 7 (both 32 and 64 bit).

There's no problem that can't be solved without applying a little scripting.

Can you not run the example project at all?

Good question, as I haven't used DBPro much at all and probably are a bit affected by the Extends advertising text lol (I did use DB classic quite a bit a few years ago though, not that I made anything release worthy).

But for starters, I just thought it seemed like an easy way to make some simple GUI like stuff, 2D, fonts etc, but I'm sure this is possible to do anyway. Eventually I'd like to check out the 3D effects like that Sky system (Though admittedly, I'm not too sure I'd end up using it in a project.. but then again, you never know).
