When compiling the source, do I need darkAI, and all of that other stuff for the source to compile? Or can I just use the free version of darkBasic with the 7.5 upgrade + extras? I don't mind buying the bonanza, but I don't want to waste money if I don't need to. It seems like all of these errors are pointing towards AI related lines, so I'm just guessing I need darkAI for it to run. There has to somebody here that knows how to get this running, please help a noob out.

What source? Your own source code? Someone elses? You only need DarkAI if you use DarkAI commands in the code.

Sorry, didn't mention what source. I'm trying to compile the V118 source from here:

https://code.google.com/p/fpscreatorengine/source/browse/

But I am wondering why all of these errors are coming up. Do I need the whole package to compile it? Yet again, I don't mind buying the bonanza, but I don't want to waste my money if I don't have to.

What kind of errors? If FPSCreator uses DarkAI then yea you'll need it.

I don't use DarkAI, but from that last line (and from what I can recall reading about FPSC on the forum) it does use that package.

There's also a dedicated board on the forum for FPSC, the people who frequent there would likely be able to answer this for you. Also, your thread title might not attract many viewers.

I remeber that error, but cannot recall which version of FPSC it was for.

From what I can determine, you need to install the correct version of DBP in order to access the special commands such as Set Sprite Rotate.

In the official DBP release, this command accepts one parameter.

I found the oldest FPSC version the most easiest to get working, the newer ones require a lot of administration and installation of various 'unreleased' versions of plugins.

By correct version, I'm guessing you mean the paid version of DBP? I know im using the right update, because I remember reading that you need 7.5 + extras. Which I have installed.

And it was set sprite resize, not rotate. I can see "rotation" taking one parameter, but I would think resize would take three parameters for height, width, and depth.

But anyways, do you think I should just buy it? Its a great deal from what I can see.

Free version should be the same as the paid version, aside from an ad in the IDE.
