Hello everyone.
Does darkbasic classic work with windows 8?
If not, is there a fix to make it work?
I am using an hp laptop with:
64-bot cpu and os.
8 gigs of ram.
pleny of hd space (759 mb)

It kinda makes me sad. When I power up my old Windows 98 machine, everything in Dark BASIC Classic works as it's supposed to. I run it on my modern laptop, though the speed increase is significant, the graphics do not work properly - The gamma functions don't work, transparency issues, screen size issues...

I wonder if the old Direct X Dlls were put in the same directory as the Db.exe if it would function properly. Would those DLLs be read and used first?

Has anyone tried creating their own dll to intercept the calls from DarkBASIC classic and run the functions as they see fit?

(sorry to high-jack the thread a little, but I think it may be related)
