I recently bought 3d world studio so that I can use it with dark basic pro. Dark basic pro doesn't except anything from 3d world studio for it's world commands.

Does anybody know how to get a BSP with Pak file from 3dworld studio and dark basic pro?

Thanks

Marius

3DWS works really well with DBPro. There's a couple of ways you can get 3DWS levels into DBPro:

1) The easiest way. Export your level as .X or .DBO, and just use load object in DBPro. This has disadvantages, such as sometimes not loading textures correctly.
2) The harder way. Use Lost in Thought's 3DWS loader. It's a bit (sometimes a lot) fiddly to get working, but once it's working it works perfectly.

A *.pak file, like Half-life (1) uses (Among others)? Those are packed content, a whole other thing that the map itself.

Just like Clonkex said, export as *.x or *.dbo and load as object. If you wish to get the "entity" data, you can open the map as a datafile and retrieve the corresponding data from that.

LiT's loader will do that for you. It loads the standard 3DWS save file.

FYI 3DWS no longer works on Windows 8 and above so stick with anything below that to use it, I moved onto Milk Shape 3D... and Blender...

Yeah, I use a mixture of programs myself too.

@ LooLoo 1 Kanobey:
You can use all kinds of programs. It's basically all about the exports (*.x, *.dbo, etc.) and retrieving data from those files in your application.

What? Why not? I've used .X exports from 3DWS before.
