Is there any way to grab an object, smash its head on the counter, put it in a headlock and force it to take light regardless of its criminal past?

I have a simple terrain object here created from the Advanced Terrain commands and saved with SAVE object.

There aren't a ton of verts or anything, I just can't get this thing to take any light no matter what I try. Any suggestions?

Aha... the old object format maneuver!
I swear I thought I tried that before, but thanks for reminding me of this invaluable "trick" GG... now we're getting somewhere!
