That was 2013 and a blatant bit of advertising. That's AppGameKit on the now defunct web interface!

agk is going to run fast with a good programer behind the wheel.

throw a bad coder behind the wheel of agk and yeah its going to suck.

For the vast majority of practical applications AppGameKit will run at similar speeds to any other engine and is perfectly suitable for mobile and desktop applications. I'm sure there are some areas in performance that it falls short and others where it excels compared to other engines. The demo doesn't even show the framerate for AppGameKit, but I can spawn 1400 box2d cubes and still maintain 30-50FPS on my machine (depending on size of boxes etc). Don't see myself ever doing that in a real app but still, I wouldn't cast AppGameKit aside based on that one benchmark.

You can check out my game Ryder for a realistic benchmark of AppGameKit physics.
It uses the physics system basically to the max, and still achieves decent FPS (50-60) on my $50.00 low-end testing device.

AGK isn't slow at all Maybe not quite as fast as other engines, but it's fast enough for just about anything you'll need.

Check out Refender. Made in Tier1 and definitely fast enough for all these cool effects its runs.

hmm, about the hardware we have it can be run faster/better/smoother.
but it not belongs all on agk.
