Hi,

I was wandering what was the most popular collision software people use. Sparkys, nuclear Glory (ive used this quite a lot and find it very good) , Darkbasicpro's own detection commands ?

I have a copy of Dark Physics which I got in a package (not sure how to use this as there was no manual)

There is no such thing as "the best" collision software. You need to pick the right tool for the right job. It depends what you want to do.

Sparky's is great for most cases, has good support for sliding collision and raycasting and it's fast.

If you want more accurate physics, go with Dark Physics or maybe use that bullet physics wrapper I saw a while ago.

At the moment I am going with DB Pro's own commands for my work in progress dungeon crawler, but I would be willing to try something else if I run into problems.

The NEWTON WRAPPER demos are pretty danged impressive, especially the FPS demo#5. Includes pushing and shooting objects, as well as stair collision. Way more complicated than Sparky's but also way more than just collision.
