Is there any advantage to have the app through steam?

And if I want to install it on PC & Mac do I need two steam keys?

As far as I know, there are any advantages other than update notification,etc... I believe at least for now, the main advantage if for TGC itself. Having more users registering their STEAM keys and adding reviews will help AppGameKit to be noticed there.

Well, you could say that if it is good for TGC, it will be good for us since they will have more resources to invest on new features, the AppGameKit community will grow faster, etc....

Based on what I know for games, the STEAM keys will be valid for any platform the application supports, so I assume that is the case for AppGameKit - therefore a single key will be valid for both Mac and Windows.

The video looks very good on Steam. I'm sure this will widen the reach.

Yes, the one key lets you access AppGameKit for both PC & Mac.

Does this mean that we must login to Steam to use our AGK2 in future?

I just checked out AppGameKit V2 on steam. It looks great. I have only one question. Why is it not under the Game Developement category? To me that is where I would look first for an "App Game Kit".
I wish you all at TGC the best of luck with your submission. I know the steam community can be a little harsh and demanding at times, but they are also some of the best people to help get the word out about this great product and the others to come.

FPSCR and AGK2 how great is that!!!
Go TGC yay!!

Hi,

We will still provide a non-steam version for TGC customers. We are just giving you all STEAM keys if you prefer to use STEAM.

Once it's released it will appear on the Game Dev section.

Could we potentially see Steam integration in AppGameKit? I would assume anyone developing for PC/Mac to be interested in that. And also the expansion into Linux (as Steam is available for Linux). Both for releases and development.
