Experimenting with AGK2 today. Tier 1 on iOS/Android went great - few odd mistakes in the docs (can I submit corrections) but for the most part went very smoothly.
I thought Tier 2 Windows would be easy ; but I've spent ages on it, with little success. Started off with VSX2010 and imported the template. It compiled but wouldn't link. Roughly, this is what I've done.
1) VSX2010 offers a conversion which I did in place.
2) It wanted to overwrite the solution.
3) atlsd.lib missing issue ; change Properties / configuration props / General / entry platform toolset to v90 (forum answer)
4) tried redistributable, didn't work.
5) installed VSX2008 as suggested by 2010 and forums.
6) Won't compile under V90 - HTOUCHINPUT errors.
7) ATLSD.LIB not installed by VSX2008 ?
8) Uninstalled VSX2008.
9) Suggested Windows DDK at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=11800 as a potential source. Downloaded and installed.
10) Extracted ATL libs from DDK ; builds with linker errors, probably type based.
11) Uninstalled VC2010
12) Installed VC2008
13) HTOUCHINPUT undefined same compile errors as V90 on VS2010.
14) Templates appear to be identical which can't be right.
I do think this could be a great product but I'm a little concerned at the building issues
I'd really like Tier 2 because of BASICs lack of data structures, objects and so on.
