These are some seriously pretty fractal mountains. I have tweaked the shader to run in AppGameKit V2. This shader is not my code, but an amazing example taken from glslsandbox.com that I have used in an attempt to learn more about running shaders in AGK.

Rather than pasting in bits of code, I have included the project folder as a zip this time.

Enjoy!

WOW, loving these shaders you are working on

It's late, I'm tired, out of coffee and now I'm wet.

@BaxLash :
With the first line commented (mountains.ps), it works :

Interesting. :s I get the same error on a different machine.

Looks like some GPUs don't support precision (perhaps?). If you comment out the first line of mountains.ps it should work (although with the performance hit of using high precision by default).

so change:

to

(anyone know of a better way to manage this?)

EDIT: Beat me to it! Lol

Blendman,

how did you work out that was the error?

That looks very impressive!
But what is it?

I'm moving house at the moment and my PC is packed ready to go so I can't test it. I can only post at work or on my iPad but I can't download on either

So, what exactly is the shader creating?
I presume it is a 2D image but is it a flat image or a skybox or something else entirely and how much control do you have over the result?

Thanks

Is this a true 3D terrain or a rendered one? Could I use this with mouselook and wander around.

Unfortunately, if you change the screen size to higher res, it slows down the FPS quite a bit.

This would be AMAZING to create a outside 3D 3rd person or FPS game.

Very nice work. Thank you for sharing.

Mike
