Newcomers AppGameKit Corner / Lights in my Game

Hellooo Everyone

i downloaded the AppGameKit the last few days and now i want to make a beautiful game.
Thats why i want to add lights in it.
In the end it should look like that:





or like this:



1.
is there a way i can do it?
if yes:
is it hard?
(i would consider myself as an rookie-programmer so im using T1)

2.
Is it possible in AppGameKit or do i need AGK2 for it?

Welcome to the forums.

The game closest to this effect is probably this one by baxslash, he is using V2 for the shaders.

I will try to make an example of simple 2D lighting using shaders for the community over the next few weeks based on my own system. Actually I might attempt it sooner rather than later. You will be able to use it to get effects like this fairly easily and more importantly (perhaps) for free

I can heartily recommend AppGameKit V2 and often do.

It may not be very simple or easy to understand what is being done if you are a newcomer but you can at least test to see if it's the kind of thing you were hoping to achieve.
