nice man, cgtextures.com? I used that metal or one very similar on a mace a few years back.

Have you looked into PBR at all yet?

I'll just cheat and tell you guys what I made last year, and then update current years progress's ^^

I made this one last school term, in which we chose one animal and a "theme"/style (historical styles, like rennaissance, or in my case napoleonic) and made a concept image of it from photo "manip" (copying and pasting images from google xD) and then we were to make a likeness sculpt in Zbrush, I think It turned out great, hair could be better (I might upload the "finished" version which isnt on this computer, but that one had a bit better hair) and the horns + helmet is kinda crap.

Here's a work in progress reference image for my end project for this year:

So that's likely gonna be what I'll update you guys on ^^ Not at all agreat drawer, but I try - it's the only way to improve.

Oh and i'd appreciate any kind of criticism, provided it's constructive ofc ^^

Thanks, I'm really happy with how the jacket turned out
Yeah I do agree, I just couldn't figure out what was wrong with it so I had to go on with it :/

Update - I feel quite satisfied with the base now, so off to Zbrush we go

Proportions look good, but the elbow is bent oddly, the lower arm feels like it has been broken or dislocated

Looks good Quik, I like the body a lot.

The shape of the helmet is a little off though

So I finally did some 3D again after what seems like an age! This is all made in Blender, textured in PS. Also, this is a screenshot from it all running in Unity 5. It's called "Lucy's Stairs", and will be a little VR experience soon

You can have a look at the webplayer diorama here - http://bit.ly/1GCr0x5

Cheers,

By far my most ambitious project so far I'm very happy with what I got. Started texturing yesterday and will update that as soon as I got something to show for it.

Sculpt is done and Lowpoly too, baked and done. The UV is kinda.. Well i've done better. But the head UV is surprisingly good though ^^
Never UVd in Blender so..

Hopefully the picture isnt too big, if it is just let me know and I'll fix it.

(Turns out picture came out rather small, if you click on it you can zoom in onver on Photobucket )

Soviet Soldier (View in 3D)

Some progress, still got things to do. Final stretch though, 2 weeks to go and I'd like to be able to rig it and put it in a few poses for the showreel at the end of the year

Edit; Yes, I know there's some nasty, way too visible seams; I will definitly try to put some time aside to fix that; Not sure of any easy way to fix it, but I'll try to make them less visible atleast.

Edit; Sorry for doublepost

Looking good Quik. Just a little crit if you want it - he looks too thin and rigid. As a soldier, he should have much thicker thighs and broader chest. Not every figure is the same of course, but it would make the character look more natural. That said, it's looking great, looking forward to the posed model

Here's a little dude I modelled the other day for fun. 438 tris, 512x512 diffuse, Blender.

Cheers,
greenlig

Absolutly see your point here, but it would also go away from my original idea; That he's weak, he's young and he doesnt really want to be on the battlefield. ^^ Thanks though, always appreciated with critiques.

Cute robot ^^

[p3d]2wBg9[/p3d]

So, just finished my "Gradshow" at this school, in which we show all the projects we've done (the biggest / proudest ones) and I + one other got to stand and talk a bit about the course and what we do. Great experience, and a load off my shoulders ^^ Learned quite a bit too I have. Like, 40million polygons is a bit overkill for a zbrush model, if you're gonna bake it down.. Yeah I overworked the model - but I finished it. I did - and I'm rather proud too.

Absolutly okay to critique my work, however proud I may seem

This is my first full-fledged low-poly game enemy character. It's a crazy guy I have created as an enemy for a game I am creating. The polycount is just over 3000 at the moment, and I am sadly not very good at texturing, so for now this is the best I can come up with.

PS. I still need to do the toes.

Finished this one xD Just a quick one really. 25k triangles - way too many i realize, after i was done. Or rather, if it was to be that many, then i couldve made the back thingies a bit more detailed.

Minecart (View in 3D)

Made a simple minecart that I wanted to try out "hant painted texture" style on. Very happy with the result, painted exclusivly in Blender, and just did some color adjustments in Photoshop
