Hello !

C.P.V is my project.

C.P.V is a play of car, one is in a city with a car! and the only trick which one has to make they are all to smash on its passage! lol!
You will say to me that it is not well intérésent if there is no scenario, you are right, but me I wants to make this small project, for been delirious and also meter in phisic relation plusior formulas like

- Gestion of -

- the weight (kg) of the cars
- Centre of gravity of the vehicle
- handling (reaction...)
- Adherence of the tires while accelerating.
- Adherence of the tires while rolling.
- maximum Speed of the vehicle.
- Acceleration of the vehicle
- Power of the brakes.
- Power of the hand brake.
- swing Angle of the wheels
- Height of the jump when a wheel touches a bump
- Intensity of the rebound
- Centre of gravity at the time of the jumps
- Resistance of the vehicle
- Height of the wheels compared to the ground.
- Height of the body compared to the ground.
- Difference of the height of the suspension between before and the back
- Reversing lights
- Fires of frainage
- Intensity of the colision according to the mass and speed
- fluid Movement of swinging of the car at the time of brakings
- fluid Movement of balencement of the car at the time of the turns

In fact this play for me it is like a great performance! Jve not to make a super play for the scénar and all, nan jve just to make a performance in programation! Ca this will not see in the play I know it well, but good it is not serious! Jvais to try to make you a trick is delirious nevertheless!

I have just updated my site! I have there to add bonds for go on the pages of last C.P.V and thus to download the version of C.P.V! There is one of them about tous.les.jours or every week in the worst case! But there is always modification to bring to the Play! Thus from time to time pass on my site in order to know the last news C.P.V!

Its really hard to understand you...

but what I think you are trying to say is :


C.P.V is a game where you drive through a city with a car! and the only trick you can make is to smash all of the passages(?)! lol!
You might say that you are not intrested because the lack of senerio, and you are right that there is no senerio, but I want to make this small project, for being fun (?) and also test out physics formulas like:

Afflicted not to be very comprehensible! I have a little evil with English, I will make my to better explain than I make:

Here, I C.P.V a play like G.T.A makes, for the moment the scenario is not yet fixed! I finished the management of the car and the world, then I pass to a scenario!
But for the moment I am delayed more on the programming! Because it is what there is of harder! Then I would pass to the scenario!

Thus here, just I would like your reports on my mini project (I do not want to make a project as large as G.T.A, I know very well that it is madness! and that I will never manage to compete with professional programmers like the creators of G.T.A . I wants just to make project to improve my competences in programming.)

sometimes these translators aren't very good, so its quite hard to understand what your saying, especially on words which are quite technical or "slang"

Can someone who's downloaded it tell us how the car handles?

Where's The Masked Coder when you need him!

I just added physics to a jeep - it took all of 30 minutes!. I use Monkey physics though, principle is simple:

* Program a basic physics speed system into whatever you like.
* Get hold of a monkey.
* Glue it to your chair.
* Tell the monkey to change the variables that control the physics until it's fun.
* Eat the monkey (optional)

I actually have something a bit similar to the warthogs in Halo, except the physics code for it is only about 15 lines long. Thinking logically, I have a jeep which are best given good suspension because the terrain is pretty bumpy - so I gave each wheel a vertical velocity. If the base of the wheel is underground then the velocity is changed to suit - meaning the wheel will bounce up. The wheels will fall down with gravity, and settle down when the forces aren't as extreme. Now using the 4 wheel heights, it's pretty easy to get the jeep angles, it sorta looks after itself with the wheel velocities. With very little coding, it was pretty easy to get a good balance, it often makes me wonder why people sweat about physics. Later I'm adding slope inertia, which will involve me changing the speed depending on the SIN(Jeepay#)*Monkey value my monkey decides upon.

The reason I mention monkey physics is that a lot of the time, they'll do - rather than spend ages coding an accurate physics model, sometimes it's better to cut corners. I know nothing about physics, when I come to program physics into a game it's all guess work. The thing is, using Sin and Cos and Atanfull instead of complex functions is faster, your gonna have to consider that when dealing with several vehicles at once - a lot of the time it's things like automation that can take the time, not the physics themselves. I suppose the only advice that I could give is to strive for faster techniques at the same time as improving them.

Van B, The value your monkey decides upon should be the width of the car (GCSE candidate here).

Unless your monkey has a big hammer/ bad temper/ automatic gun. In which case it can use whatever value it likes. Oh great one.
