Just updated from 7.62 to 7.7 but i noticed there is a very annoying bug, the set music volume is broken, even setting it to 1 or to 100 makes no difference, I used to set it to 20 on the music for my game and in fact when i compiled the 1st time after the 7.7 update I could barely hear the normal sounds because of the music too loud (100 instead of 20 it's a lot).

This is a major bug and if can't be fixed I must downgrade back to 7.62, anyone knows how to fix this?

Yeah, this is pretty well documented. You just need to use the same command twice.

It's generally a bad idea to upgrade while you're in the middle of a project though.

I know but I have read that another user was having problems with his game and that on some Windows 7 systems if you don't update to 7.7 it could get problems, and I want to avoid them.
Also I have made all the necessary backups before to update, both game folder, and darkbasic folder. I think if something goes too wrong I could just reinstall the 7.62 patch to fix some problems, but except this set music volume command I didn't notice any other problem

Check out this Music & Sound plugin by Torrey, might help! Some source code too in that thread to get you started.

I would just go back to using version 7.62. There's a reason 7.7 has been in beta for 4 years.

Ask TGC! Update 7.7 was started before 7.6 and has not been released. Must be some reason.

The problem wasn't Window7 sp1 alone. Somthing done in update 7.5 was also a contributing factor. DBPro version 7.4 works just fine with Windows7 sp1. Update 7.62 has resolved this issue.

At one time I was running multiple copies of DBPro. Just copy the Dark Basic Professional Online folder and paste it into The Game Creators folder. Add the version number to the copied folder such as Dark Basic Professional Online 7.62 then you can update the original folder. Then just rename the folders to pick a version to use.
