Hi All,

Hope your having a great day, im getting my hands dirty doing some 3d pseudo coding, the goal is to do some 3d running 60 fps on mobile and tablets.

Im nearly there but need your help testing the android version on your phone and posting the fps you get on your device, this would REALLY help me as i have a LOD system that i need to define, this version has a middle quality setup. it would be awesome if you could post the fps running landscape and portrait.

Currently this version is running at 60 fps on iPad,Samsung G2, asus tablet.

Just click the link from your phone to download and install.

In this demo the terrain is random generated, using a ypos[30000],xpos[30000] as height map data , so the terrain can be endless. The LOD can use any number of sprites to display the terrain, this version use 276 sprites to display everything on screen.

Bounces between 57 and 59 FPS on my Samsung S4, in both Landscape and Portrait... It takes about 10-15 seconds to load...

Moto G - 52 to 53 both landscape and portrait.
Asus Memo Pad 10 - 56 to 60 Landscape and 55 to 58 Portrait

Takes a bit to load, around 10 to 15 seconds and will probably need a "loading...." splash screen.

Thanks for your help,

I fixed the load time to under a second.

And lowered the MID LOD a little bit , i like to get it at 60 fps at mid setting on most devices.

If at all possible could you retest this version ?

I now get 59-60 FPS (both Landscape and Portrait) with a load time of < 1 second... Samsung S4... Good work...

Moto G - just over 60 both landscape and portrait.
Asus Memo Pad 10 - 59.8 to just over 60 both landscape and portrait.

The load time is very good now Moto is under 1 second and Asus is around 2 seconds.

How did you manage to reduce the load time by so much?

For the second APK

Nexus 10: almost instant load time, 60 FPS in both landscape and portrait.
Alcatel one touch (low spec phone): a few seconds to load, 43 fps in both landscape and portrait.

I did try the first one and the load times are a huge improvement and on my phone I was only getting 25 fps so great work sorting that out.

2 second load time...

56 - 57   FPS in both view modes

Same Visual Land Prestige 7" Tablet with A8 1.2GHz

Great improvement on the FPS, now please give me an exit button for testing so I don't have to do a force stop on the app to retest the launch speed.

I want some controls too, so I'm not just watching a video.
