I had a quick go of the pong clone (the link you gave is for the AppGameKit showcase board) and the shooting and dodging game.
I liked the pirate theme for both games and little comments in the bottom left of Seadogs and the way the ship bobbed up and down as it moved.
I'm not a massive fan of on-screen joysticks, so I think Seadogs would work better with left and right buttons and pirate pong would be better with just touchscreen controls, ie the paddle follows the player's finger.
Seadogs would benefit from some particle explosions and associated sound effects, a proper "boom" when then canon is fired and an explosion when a hit is scored, maybe a splosh for a miss.
The other thing with Seadogs is that the instruction to tap the screen to start could do with being darker or a different colour so it stands out a bit more.
I think out of the two I liked Seadogs the most.
