Hey everyone! I've been out of the loop for about a year and decided to pick it up once again and start working on my multiplayer FPS. I've thought it would be cool to make a Heavy Metal Themed Shooter for a while so I decided to give it a whirl.

Basic Premise: Demons have invaded Earth and Metalheads are the only ones who can stop it.

As you can guess you can play as either demons or metalheads(theoretically, haven't got that far yet) Each with a unique arsenal and abilities. It is very tongue in cheek with metal stereotypes trying not to make it seem too serious. There is a Rage Meter in place. As you get kills you unlock another piece of the meter. When the meter is full you regain all health you might have lost and have enhanced abilities for a short time. Its a pretty straight forward shooter. Working on some unique game modes. Just some old school arena shooter with a couple twists. Made a quick test level just to try out some things

Thanks For Looking

Looks really cool. A good old fashion run and gun. Will it have bots or just multi player?

Nice work! You've got a good cartoony style going, but i think your environment surfaces would benefit by setting object / face shading to smooth, with some strategic smoothing groups / edge splits. The flat shading they have now picks out each individual face in a distracting seam kind of way.

@ortu: Yes, I'm working on fixing this. I am working on making a better, cleaner level as this was a test level just to try out and run around in. It was designed very quickly. I'm trying to go for a stylized look. Like a mix of tf2 and painkiller. Looking into some shaders as well.

Some new Updates! Kind of changed the direction of the game. Working on some options for a co-op demon killing mode. Still very simple at the moment but very happy with this direction.
Newest additons:
Co-op
Enemy AI
Nail Gun in the works
New Blood
Gibs(super Basic at the moment)

Very basic at the moment still need to work on finishing models and doing some texturing as well as beginning on new level better suited for co-op gameplay.

If you have any ideas or comments let me know.

Some New Updates.

Added a new weapon, the laser rifle. Still working on the model so i just added a placeholder. also began texturing and reworking the level a bit. Probably going to post a new video early next week once the level is completely finished.

Hmm looks pretty neat, nice work.

And if you're naming it after Slayer's Raining Blood, maybe this version of Raining Blood would tickle your fancy?
