Can FPSC-2-AGK work with FPS Reloaded & AGK2 ?
I have the full version of FPS classic and the old AGK. I am still getting the hang of them both. I think I am not ready to go to for the latest version but I was wondering if I bought FPS Reloaded & AGK2, will the tool FPSC-2-AGK work with the newer version? Also I am impressed with the ad video of 3D World Studio and amazed of the features. I am wondering if it can be used with the old AppGameKit and classic FPS?

Hi,

FPSC-2-AGK is designed to be used with FPSC Classic only. FPSC Reloaded (Game Guru) is completely different than the original FPSC so it cannot convert levels from it. Also, the levels in it are generally more graphically intense and larger, with terrain etc.. which just wouldn't work very well on many mobile platforms.

You should however have no problem running the converted levels in AGK2! It is designed to allow you to quickly piece together your 3d world in FPSC and with a few clicks have it running in AGK.

I can't really comment on the use of 3D World Studio in AppGameKit and FPSC, im sure you probably could use your levels, but you would have to manually convert them to the correct format and do some work yourself. But i am not speaking from experience.

Hope this helps!

I'm using AGK2 (latest build) and I like FPSC2AGK.

I have recently purchased FPSC2AGK and have been playing with a few simple levels I created in FPSC and so far the results are really good. It does mean learning fpsc which can be a little tricky - such as having to manually update the user data .ini file with your credentials and serial number if you ever try to update FPSC (is this documented anywhere other than the forums?), and unzipping the protected export level file from fpsc (using password 'mypassword' - which again, I had to find by searching the forums).

It doesn't export a complete game by any means, but does give you a relatively painless way of getting 3d data into your own game that you can then build on with your own code.
