I spend too much time trying to navigate to the AppData AppGameKit folder, and I can't find the ability to add your own shortcuts. So I found another way, might be useful to others until the IDE is updated with more functionality.

1. Go to Edit | Preferences
2. Go to the Tools Tab
3. In the Context Action enter Explorer "XXX", where XXX is your AppData AppGameKit folder.

When you want to open this folder, click any text in the editor (not white space) and select Context Action.

That's a handy tip for anyone that still uses Windows Explorer to navigate their files. But a real programmer ( ) like me uses Total Commander for file navigation. So it is easy to create a shortcut, like this:

Seriously sad nerd.

It's DirectoryOpus!

@Batvink - nice tip!

Edit: Seems there's a DOpus for PC now - remember it well from the Amiga days!

If that was aimed at me then I'll take it as a compliment

Of course, it could be a failing of the teacher! I have met many OO-only programmers who are absolutely incompetent to the point of being dangerous.

Total Commander - Nerdom - count me in, looks like a useful tool

It really is!
I cropped the screenshot but at the top is a button bar where you can store shortcut icons to all you programs along with other incredibly useful tools like flatten folder structure, select all files of this type etc. and it is all totally customizable.

Strongly recommend it!

I'm fairly new to AppGameKit so I'm probably missing something really obvious, but does 'Right click project name >> Open Project Folder' not suffice ......., here it opens up the project folder in my AppGameKit AppData folder! ........

No, that's not the folder we are referring to.
When you save a file in AppGameKit it doesn't save to the project folder because mobile devices won't allow that. They have specific places to save the data.
Consequently, saving in Windows doesn't save to the project folder either. It will be somewhere like this:
c:\Users\{your name}\AppData\Local\AGKApps\

It is that folder path that is being discussed.

Ok, because the windows player saves its files there by default I guess, so if I generate files from my AppGameKit code they will be found in the AppGameKit AppData folder ....... makes perfect sense I guess

Well apparently I did miss something really obvious but still glad I asked because It was an education, thankyou for the insight Scraggle
