I feel unable to release Android apps due to the resume bug in 2.0.12, yet PrintImage only works as it should under 2.0.12. So, like a few others here, I am kind of stuck at the moment.

Rick first stated that a maintenance release could appear last week, then changed that to "Yes, we're working to bring an update out very soon to fix a selection of such issues." Paul usually responds with "fixed for the next update."

I am wondering though if that update is the same scheduled update that contains the 3D commands, if so, it could be a while before I can release a working Android app under 2.0.12

Updates usually come out in pairs - a significant update with new features, followed quickly by fixes to the new bugs that have crept in.

There will be a release to fix the bugs in 2.0.12, timing will depend on how many bugs people find.

In a way that is disappointing.

The Android resume issue makes it impossible to release an Android app that isn't inherently bugged. This is core functionality for a program that is sold both here and on Steam as an app creator. Would not this issue alone warrant a hot fix?

I get the impression that it will be many weeks before these issues are resolved.

Is there a dedicated thread to bug reports, or just open a new thread?

Unfortunately the install method doesn't support hot fixes so we have to upload a full build every time we change something. Steam does support hot fixes but if I do that then people will complain that Steam is getting preferential treatment

A new thread is the best method to get noticed

may i also point out..... down grade to the last release 2.0.11 which was stable.... it works fine and thats what im using...

edit:... i just read your other post saying 2.0.11 was broken for the command you needed. was there an older release that it actually worked? I try to backup all of my alphas from tgc... just incase something breaks. for me i just finaly got the fix for object loading times.... im back in buisness for now with 2.0.11 since my only targeted platforms are not mobile.

paul is usually pritty quick with the updates and fixes and im sure hes not going to touch 3d stuff untill a stable release has been made with the new debugger.

@SoftMotion3D Issues with PrintImage have been flagged up as far back as 2013, and have only just been fixed. There are no other versions I'm afraid that I can turn too. At present, there is no version of AppGameKit under which I can release an app that isn't inherently bugged.

Then perhaps you should upload a full build with the black screen bug fixed because until that is fixed the product is not fit for purpose.

@Scraggle I really thought this is what was going to happen, especially when Rick said there would be a quick fix. There are a few issues with 2.0.12, but none as serious as the black screen resume bug. I cannot understand why a full build cannot be uploaded!
