Absolutely beautiful, keep up the awesome work guys. Once I finish work on my static object system I am certainly implementing this plugin into my engine. I plan to restart an old disk golf project that was abandoned (due to bugs in DarkPhysics) and your plugin looks like it might be perfect for it.

Thanks,

Yes the bugs in Dark Physics inspired me to create a better physics plugin.

Installed the plugin and made sure I also installed IanM Matrix util plugin. Copied all files over, keywords and DLL etc but none of the Demos worked due to errors (see below). I had to rename TRUE/FALSE to T/F respectively as it conflicted with keywords already present, but nothing ran for me.

For the Demo 'Character Controller' I get the following error:
Failed to 'CFileBuilder::ConstructEXE::LockResource'

and the same error above for the 'Convex Hull Decomposition' and other demo programs.

Any ideas?

Would really love to see this plugin work.

Sounds like a conflict with another plug-in. The demos worked fine for me.

I have not encountered this error before. Are you using Windows 8?
A quick search of the forums for the error may indicate it is a Windows 8 problem with DBPro.

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=210571&b=1

There is also a new version of the DBPro IDE that is compatible with windows 8.

Hi yes I use windows 8.1 with dbpro and works OK as I use the new synergy editor. No problems with other plugins. I will try uninstalling other plugins as I have a feeling they are conflicting somewhere.

[update - doesn't make any difference removing other plugins, still get same error-realised this is on my x64 bit OS. Will try 32bit but don't see why that would make any difference. Doesn't matter I can still use DarkPhysics in DBPRO and C++.]]
[update 2]- doesn't work on 32/64 bit OS. I will go back to Darkphysics.

I believe the error is caused by the DBPro compiler running under Windows 8.
Does the error appear in the output window of the IDE?
Does the code compile and then crash?
Dark Physics does not have Destruction physics!

I have added a command for fracturing limbs of an object.
Here is a preview of how it works.

Very neat!

Looking forward to this being completed (with Help files).

The error is in the output window (see attachment)
[update] - ok not sure what I did, but the demos seem to work now. I had version 7.7 of DbPro running, but reverted back to 7.62, then ran the .exe file of version 7.7 again in admin mode, also my graphics card drivers got updated. Somehow all this seems to have resolved my issues and the demos now work. Great work so far, well done. Look forward to seeing this plugin grow. By the way I run the demos on Windows 10 preview build 100 (32 bit) and AMD Radeon HD 7570, DBPro 7.7.

I'm working on the help files. I think that a good demo is better than help files for understanding how to use the commands.
I have designed the commands to be easy to use. One example is the commands take DBPro vectors for ease of use.

Glad to hear you got it working. I do not have a windows 8 or windows 10 to test on, so thanks for testing.
I am working on a vehicle controller. Now that I have a good stable base I can add features quickly with out adding bugs.

True - but you need clear documentation to tell you what the command does and what the arguments represent. After all, you can't write demos to cover every possible scenario. The one thing you need to avoid is demos which are so long it takes ages to work out what's going on when all you really need to know is what the command in question does.

Similarly, ease of use is important but isn't enough on its own.

Until I get the help file finished, just post any questions on what you want to accomplish and I will provide a code sample
with an explanation of the commands. I trying to get a better idea of how many would be interested in purchasing this dll,
then I can decided whether to continue development.

The price would be $60.00 dollars US, based on the features that are included.
It seems there may not be enough interest to continue this project. Sadly it seems that
the DBPro community has dwindled in size these last few years. Financially I may not be able to
continue with out more support.
