I'm thinking to use more layers than objects on Tiled to check the track and checkpoints and the rest.
This is also for the Editor part, so the pieces a user will put in the editor will directly go in the arrays of:
- Background
- Track Up
- Track Down
- Objects
- Other things
I wanna develop a "TrackMania" clone in 2D if i can with the server side with more than 100 cars on each track....
So maybe in the beginning we can focus on time based race...
If someone of you want to collaborate to this game i will be very happy.
Have one of you already coded the physic for the top down car? Friction, speed?
Have you some ideas to suggest?
