Hi,

I am using AppGameKit Version 1.0824.

I am using the AppGameKit Player on a Nexus 7 with the latest version of their Android and AppGameKit Player.

For some strange reason bitmaps will not display in AppGameKit player but jpegs will.

The bitmap images are saved with .bmp and they're in the media folder. I have also checked for case sensitivity and the files are all in lower case in the program and by their file names.

All I get on the Nexus screen is a chequered pattern with a big red X through it.

BTW the game displays fine on the computer. I know I am probably missing something obvious (again). Any help greatly appreciated.

PNG and JPG are the only formats supported on all platforms.
I don't know for certain, but BMPs are probably only supported on Windows and possibly Mac.

Bitmaps are not a good option for media in any case. They are not compressed and so inflate the size of your installer and space required on the device.

It's interesting because BMP IS natively supported on Android - just not in AGK. (See under Core Media Formats here).
