I have a problem at the moment where my Android app works fine when broadcast to the player, but if I export it as APK and install on the device, the music no longer plays. I have checked the usual suspect (file-name case matches, and no spaces). It is an MP2 being loaded as:

and then later being played in a permanent loop as:

2 steps forward... 1 step back...

It can't be a codec issue as it plays fine when broadcast testing so I'm a bit stumped.

I didn't think MP2 was supported...

I thought MP2 was the format of choice for Android music - to get around the hefty license fee that comes with MP3? Also, MP3 playback is backwards compatible with layer 1 and 2 so it is automatically supported if MP3 is supported.

Also, it plays fine when broadcast to the player so I don't think it's a format compatibility issue.

I guess I could trim down the tune and save it as WAV, but I'd rather get it working properly.
