My sister plays Neopets fanatically, whenever computers are mentioned that and The Simms is all she talks about. Now the Simms I understand.

I looked at it then realized that if I ever wanted to play anything like this again, I have two Pokemon games.

I looked at it then realised that if I ever wanted to play anything like that ever, I'd have to kick my own ass.

I looked at it then realised that if I ever wanted to play that thing again, it'd be a smarter choice selling lame masoquistic movies to MTV (jackass).

I looked at it and realized that if I ever got the urge to play it, it'd be time to throw myself out a 4th story window.

The games came first. All that cartoon and card stuff is just merchandising for them.

Speaking of the cartoon, the theme song is so annoying. Anyone ever watch the show? I used to (and still do occasionally ), and I have the them song memorized. (It's wierd how annoying stuff sticks in your head).

Quote: "I wanna be the very best
That no one ever was
To catch them, that's my real test
To train them is my cause
I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide
Teach pokemon (something I don't understand)
The power that's inside!
Pokemon, gotta catch 'em all!
It's you and me
I know it's my destiny
Pokemon, oh, you're my best friend
In a world we must defend
Pokemon gotta catch 'em all
So true!
Our courage will full-proof you!
You teach me, and I'll teach you!
Po-ke-mon!
Gotta catch 'em all -
Gotta catch 'em all!
Pokemon!"

See, that doesn't make a lick of sense! And now I have the stupid song stuck in my head.

A) When I say Pokemon I mean the Gameboy games, I could care less about the plush toyes, card game, and anime.

B) Americaised Animes always blows, especially when compaired to their original state, Sailor Moon is a good example (they won't even release the last season of it unedited due the shear amount of violence and sexual comtent). No doubt the pokemon anime isn't nearly as anyoing in it's original state.

C) America went Berserk when it came to advertising Pokemon, hell Pokemon is proof positive that advertising can acually hurt sales. The went so overboard that they nearly kiiled it. You'll notice that Nintendo has been a bit more carefull when it comes to handing out marketing licenese now days. Hell most people don't even relize that they've released the next two Pokemon games allready. What ever happen to the days when toy companies could come out with a produce for children over 8 that didn't come from TV, especially anime?

Pffft, Pokemon! In my day toys where REAL toys, not cards of monsters but the real (plastic) thing because we had..... Star Wars miniatures! You know what, they where not in the least over advertised at all! Whats more they didn't come from the TV, really they didn't.
