anything you can share will benefith everyone maybe there is another post about it but i did not found it so i'l posting it.

Windows 10 is free for Windows7/8/8.1 users so the faster we will atleast know about all the errors and misbihaviors will do good for all of us aswell for the TGC team that will have to fix it...

i am still using 8.1 and hopefully it will be a smooth upgrade..

thank you for your time.

Unfortunately anything created using AGK2 using the T2 templates does not work on a vanilla Windows 10, unless you have the proper DX installed.

the app simply crashes. this is a problem as the user will not know that he needs to install DX

With AGK1 my experiences were that it works fine in Win10 using Win8 compatibility mode. No DX install necessary

@Marcus - I'm not sure what you mean by "activated", it was that automatic upgrade from Win8 to Win10 campaign MS has been pushing.

@Marcus - Das tut mir leid. I was surprised that my Windows 10 upgrade went perfectly & so far it works great (much better than Windows 8). I believe my "activation" for Win 10 was handled automatically. Cheers.

I've updated to Windows 10, I can't speak for every system configuration but I've had no issues with AppGameKit v2 at all. I've coded four projects in it now, with no issues at all.

As with any new Windows system issue are largely going to revolve around certain manufactures not writing driver updates for systems.

From what I've experimented with, it works very well!

Too bad I don't like Windows 10

This entry on my blog pretty much sums up what I dislike about Windows 10.

Overall, it's a good OS, I just don't like the data mining capabilities it has, or how limited it is for the user to customize. They don't even give us the ability to change from white window title boxes!

Yodaman Jer you have all the right in the world not to like Win10. It's your own opinion. Use OSX, Linux, etc... so many options out there.

Luckily a big % of the population have already upgraded from Win 7/8 to Win10

yeah and since Microsoft has released it for free for a few months we are the beta testers but think in about 6 months with all the data the microsoft will get it will be much much better.

I must be the only IT professional who doesn't care about the data being collected by Microsoft. Partly because they're not the first to do so, and I knowingly use the other products which do the same. (I.E. Android.)

Windows 10 looks very good, performs very good considering their track record, (Plus I liked windows 8, and also had no issued with ME.) and for free it's a no brainer. I don't like Linux so I don't care about windows lack of reconfigurability. I'll take ease of use over the ability to configure every little thing any day, and so will 90% of Microsoft's customers.

Nope, I don't care either. We are brainwashed by the media to think that we are giving our souls away.

They give me a product for free, and in return my data improves the product. Seems like a sweet deal to me.

They will also find out that I won't pay for Media Player and I will install a free alternative. They will find out that my life is no worse for not having Minesweeper. They will understand that there are many products out there that are cheaper and are used as perfectly viable - and often better - alternatives.

They will learn that when you are distributing millions of units of your product, £100 is more than adequate, and you can't screw me for a penny more.

This is good use of data for me.

It's like people who say "If I could start my life over I would make different choices". Yes; you could be homeless, a drug addict, a parent at 15, a victim of crime, or simply dead. Different choices aren't always better choices. And likewise, providing data isn't always selling your soul to the devil.

Bill started that because he wanted to know who was making whipped cream pies.

You know, it wasn't until their wedding night that Mrs. Gates fully understood why Bill named his company 'Microsoft'.

What I want to know is... what happened to Windows 9?
Were they afraid that it would cause all the Germans to stop using Windows?
Or maybe they thought the consumer may get confused thinking the last digit may have fallen off the box of an old Windows 95 or 98 version.

Good news that Windows 10 is playing nice with AppGameKit 2.
I probably will skip over Windows 10 though, just like I did Windows 8 and XP.
I might starting playing around with XP though, now that Microsoft has abandoned it. (grapevines say it may be the best one they ever had)
I'll probably just be missing out on more hype than anything else by ignoring the latest numeral of Windblows.
Good luck to all of you 'Explorers'.

Good luck with that, since there will never be a windows 11, or 12 or any other version. 10 is the last, it'll just be continually updated like OSX is.
