This little thingy took me a full day to make without any previous BSP expereince. It's a fully working 3rd person camera system with BSP. The textures are a bit weird cause I didn't spend much time on them. Gonna email Lee about the bugs I found.

The map is 100% made in Lightwave then exported to .x using a plugin and then converted to BSP using the BSP converter that comes wiith DBP. It uses a single UV texture, no lightmap. It was a bit tricky to find out how to make a working map but I did it

Controls:
WASD: Move
Mouse: Aim
Space: Jump

(Sync rate set to 50, runs around 80 on my laptop)

Thanks =) It's my ultimate and final TPS camera, actually took me 3 tries to finally get it right (this is my 3rd game) =P The key part of this is that the camera always points the same no mater if you're in the middle of the room or stuck against a wall and it's as accurate as a first person camera. Perfect third person aiming anyone? =)

Cool demo. After messing with it i realized a perfect way to make a TPS camera. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thats very impressive camera work - reminds me of Max Payne a bit. Will you be releasing the code?

& BTW, the demo is cool, nice to see working BSP... Collision seemed dodgy though, as the cube seemed to use its corners for collision, even when the cube should be flat against the wall. Guess thats just how BSP collision works. Ho hum.

Thanks =) Nope, I won't release the code, not yet anyway. I just completed it after 2½ years of using DB.

BSP uses a sphere for collision. It makes sense as normally you will have a character running and not a box gliding =)

I can help you with box collision making use of the INTERSECT COMMAND but you don't have DBpro do you?

Intersect Object doesn't work with BSP maps Mussi. You can use the 'ol fashioned "move the object bit by bit" cheat, but it isn't ideal.
