Hi All,

I'm interested in selling games on Steam and wondered if anyone has any experience of that here?

Thanks...

I think the total is now 2 games on steam built with agk.

Binary zoo did echoes

Xenobloom listed in the agk showcase

I forget his id but hes a moderator. Id ask him on his post

To start off and believe me im just going through the same process now. Pay the 110 fee or whatever it is to beable to post a forum page on greenlight.

Im starting a page this weekend and can fill everyone in on requirements. Looks like you need a playable demo video,a few screenshots and you should be good. Your game does not need to be finished

I've submitted a few applications via Greenlight but it is a really saturated and pretty brutal territory, never had anything greenlit. I think it helps if you have a huge social network following.

Yes steam seems a nightmare, it would be better if we could submit apps to Windows directly via there developer program. Not sure if this can be done but the developer fees for Windows is only $19!
The Amiga and Amos were great!

Yeah i have a new take on steam.

People on there are brutal. Expect the harshest of feedback and be ready to be judged as if you were a big company that produced the game.

They dont care if it was 1 person who developed it or 100 people as you will be treated the same.

Dont bother making a post unless your games finished and very well pollished.
They dont like to see alpha builds.

I let my post sit till it hit 100 views to get the basic idea of where my game stands. 20% of people did say they would buy it but the comments that were being left would suggest that it wasnt ready for the big time.

I, myself will not be posting anything on there again without taking incredable time putting it together to present it as if any error made would be fatal.

I think people these days compare all games as if they were in the same boat
they will compare your game to an AAA title

i once released a game on iphone. it was Free with No Ads, and some troll posted a bad review complaining that the game is not relaxing and too colorful!!!!!!!!!

I think you need to do some marketing. Anything you can do to make people get in and vote. It helps to have a good presentation on your page as well. There's a lot of junk getting through Green Light these days.
