What do you mean by wont work?

Nothing is appearing on any of your devices? It is black screen?

it shows only part of the screen making it unusable but the sounds etc continue to work wasn't sure if it was just the way I was setting the resolution but I tried so many different options

Try swapping the arguments to those functions. My phone is 320x480 and it looks like you have 480x320 there ...

SetScreenResolution is a special command designed for situations where you want to set the back buffer to a size that is different from the screen size, I wouldn't recommend using it in most projects. SetVirtualResolution is the recommended command to use.

Thanks it may be a landscape / portrait problem but I thought the compiler would do that by default and hence I wouldn't have to rework all the dimensions

The problem was with the pictures not being saved in an appropriate format ie jpg, I also find they are very case sensitive with the phone but the ide in windows 10 didn't mind
