well dunno about any of you, but i'll hopefully have some time after christmas (and money) to actually get back into the FFXI world again.

now i remember mentioning a while back about a screenshot and searching my HDDs for some templates i found one i took of the Benchmark2 Beta Demo



i actually took it to see the quality difference between the drivers in a real instance situation. but ho hum, still one of the better screenshots of the game ... and i can't even get in to take a proper screenshot either, so just have to see what i can come up with when i finally get back in ^_^

So quick to judge a single pic that shows a cave and someone's back? At least try to hide you biasism untill you actually see a real pic of the game.

Yes, I am quick to judge because I was judging that pic. Lol. That pic looks like FF9 graphics. Just that pic though. And it's just my opinion. lol, geez...

yeah it does look like FF9 doesn't it... but you know that the difference here is that FF9 was 2D Rendered, this is full 3D.

The depth you see is REAL depth and atmosphere, not a 2d pre-rendered trick.
and i don't think this even is capable of the full graphics of the game...

i mean to me HL2 has nice effects, but it has no atmosphere that kills the look for me. FFXI just oozes atmosphere, especially with the highend soundtrack from Yoko Kano :-P
