Hi All,

This forum is filled with plenty of coding but the help-functions missing coding examples.

Is it an idea to fill the AppGameKit help examples (When pressing F1 on a function) with all the users here?

Greetings.

People can submit example for each command. But not all seem to work. I came across an example the other day that seemed to rely on two other commands that doesn't exist nor have an implementation included with the example, so it was useless.

Yes that is what I mean.

The examples under the commands.

There can be more of it.

In Dark Basic classic (sorry for getting great old cows from the gutter ) was with almost every command an short and simple example to get more understanding a command.

From those small examples I learned alot.

It is quicker to learn small chunks this way than searching the forum for simple examples of the commands.

I know this takes some time for people to put somthing there, but if we all take an empty slot, it wil be filled up quickly.

I also put some code in one of the command examples.

can you make a list with empty slots from the index with 1450 commands?

Would be good if TGC could check those examples when updates take place too. If a command is renamed, or has a change of functionality which breaks the example code, please let the community know so someone can fix it. Thanks!

Should we, the users, just assign some examples for people to take over, and then one of the venerable forum guys review the code? The examples that come with the program itself make up for the lack of documentation, but it is too spread apart. It would be good to actually HAVE the documentation filled out, though.
