Newcomers AppGameKit Corner / Version error after install

I just installed AGK2 and compiled and tried to run one of the samples. When I click 'run', a dialog comes up that says "Version error: update the player to continue at line 0".
I cannot find any docs anywhere that explain how to do that.
Can anyone clue me in?

if you purchased off the gramecreators: goto http://www.thegamecreators.com/ and then up the top right login to your account, then go to my products and download the latest version
if you purchased off valve: i dunno. prolly go to your steam account and see if there's a later version

the last version was published on 5 feb 2015
