iOS and MacOS / Mac demo bugs?

I am using the Mac demo of AppGameKit downloaded from Steam and am having some issues with it. It will not save settings/preferences. Every time I start it, it asks to install additional files, even though I've already done it, and I always have to change the font. This is very annoying.

Is this just a demo issue or is anyone else having this problem? Is the standalone version from TGC any better?
