I needed a "moon effect" for a night scene and made this low poly moon. It turned out fairly well
so I thought I'd share it. Very simple sphere & texture. Also made a "night cloud" to place near
or around the "moon". Placing lights just where you want them gives very nice surreal effects.
Made two "moons" one static and one dynamic (dynamic one meant only for using dynamic shaders
but has other possibilities)

Play with the scale settings, lighting and height to get the effect you want.
The "moon clouds" like having low lighting under them, not over. If anything
is amiss let me know.
Have fun, best
My games never have bugs. They just develop random features..
Lots and lots of random features...

Nice screenshots. A simple detail but adds a nice realism to the scene. Thanks for sharing.

So... this moon can move in real time with scripting?
If you could travel faster than the speed of light and you want to the moon, when you got there would you see yourself coming?

Thanks Seppgirty

I can't see why not. The dynamic one is just for using "dynamic" shaders, but one
could turn it into a "character" and even follow a waypoint ??? (maybe)
Do you have something in mind ?

Nice work. Yes, it can be made to "move". Just need to add the "ischaracter=1" to the FPE, make sure it is dynamic, and voila.

There\'s no problem that can\'t be solved without applying a little scripting.
